When one builds a life without God and the truth of His Word, he is building a sandcastle. Before you know it, piece by piece, that castle is washed away.  However, Jesus emphasizes that everyone who ‘hears‘ His words and ‘does‘ act on them, that person is wise and builds his house on the rock.
